The Sun

Updated: Jan 17, 2023

Urban soul tarot The Sun

The Sun shows us a joyous garden filled with sunflowers and a child personifying innocence riding out on a horse. Coming after The Moon where everything was dark and surreal under reflected light, The Sun is actually the reestablishment of light and the return of joy! The Sun ushers in a new dawn and definitely talks about a new beginning. The child, and the sunflowers that follow the path of the sun, both reiterate that it will be a joyous day. The nudity of the child tells the world that he has nothing to hide and he revels in his innocence. When the sun appears, it marks a glorious time of creativity. You are at your creative best and you shine like the sun. The sun is the source of all life and is revered and people seek its warmth. So too, do people want to bask in the warmth of your attention. You shine like the sun and achieve recognition. When the Sun appears, creativity, confidence and a strong dose of healthy self-esteem are the dominant traits. The Sun is a card that is linked with children. It foretells joy through children and of finding your own inner child and the childlike sense of wonder. The Horse that bears the child symbolizes the nobility of the beast and assures that help will be provided by the universe when it is needed. The Sun shines light on the world and the card symbolizes that information that is required will be made available. Just as daytime is busy with the myriad of tasks and chores that need to be completed, the Sun card augurs a busy but happy and productive time, filled with gratitude for the warmth and the nourishing powers of the sun. Just like the sunflowers grew with the help of the sun, The sun helps you manifest your dreams and turn them into tangible reality. As a signpost on your journey to your soul's destination the Sun card assures you that you are exactly where you are meant to be. In most pagan cultures the Sun is revered. In India, the Gayatri Mantra celebrates the Sun, for its bountiful blessing and for being the creator of all life on earth. When you see the Sun you can be rest assured that, this is your time to shine. Enjoy yourself, have a celebration, play and connect with your Inner Child.

Meditation On The Sun

“The real you is loving, joyful, and free. The real you is just like a flower, just like the wind, just like the ocean, just like the sun." -Don Miguel Ruiz. What new information may have come to light? Where does your joy lie? How do you express and spread that joy to others?
