Six of Pentacles

Urban soul tarot six of Pentacles

The Six of Pentacles is in its ideal state a card about giving and receiving and sharing of resources. It is a signpost card, that says "You are exactly where you were meant to be!" Life takes us all through ups and downs. Somedays we fly higher than we have ever done, but there are days when we may almost hit rock bottom and when the Six of Pentacles turns up, it is a sign that says "Fret not!! You are where you were destined to be!" Where are you today? If you are on the high, then you may be the angel of generosity to someone who may really need your help. Do open your heart and give of yourself. The giving could be tangible such as funds or resources, but it could also mean giving of your time or giving your advice. Mythology both Biblical and Classical is after all full of stories of the gods who roamed the earth disguised as beggars and blessed the gentle soul who offered his assistance to them. How much of yourself do you give out to the world? If you feel, this card has caught on the day, that you feel you are on the low end of life, then be rest assured that the universe is sending you someone who will give you that push or that assistance to get you what you need, to get to where you need to be. Life is cyclic and there is never a time when the constant circle of giving and receiving ends. It is the karma that we are constantly creating by our actions of giving and receiving, that takes us to different experiences. The man holding the scales knows the important fact that we can only give as much as the other person is capable of receiving, and that is also very pertinent. Today, think about how do you receive gifts, or help, or compliments? As a society, we have been trained to think about doing charity but we still need to learn how to cherish ourselves and we have to be gracious to receive.

Meditation on the Six Of Pentacles

But it is also the pleasure of the flower to yield its honey to the bee. For to the bee a flower is a fountain of life, And to the flower a bee is a messenger of love, And to both, bee and flower, the giving and the receiving of pleasure is a need and an ecstasy. ― Khalil Gibran, The Prophet Look at the card and have a thought on where you are today? Are you the receiver or the giver? How do you give back to people? Is it money or your time or do you do both? How do receive? What situation has the Six Of Pentacles popped up for?
